Tuesday Friendship Club
Day care for isolated elderly and those needing additional support. Tuesdays from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. Trained volunteers run activities and organise outings. Morning and afternoon teas and a two-course meal are served at a modest cost. Clients can self-refer or request a referral from a health professional
- Weekly on Tuesdays, from 10 am to 3 pm
- Held at Community Care Lincoln, 16 Lyttelton Street, Lincoln
- For elderly persons experiencing loneliness, needing companionship, social interaction
- Clients are referred by GP or other health professionals, and assessed for suitability
- Regular activities, outings. There is a charge of $15 for morning tea and lunch Which are provided.
Meals on Wheels
Hot meals supported by Health NZ Te whata Ora are delivered Monday to Friday.
Frozen Meals supplied by Community Care Lincoln are delivered on Monday.
All meal deliveries are made free of charge by Community Care Volunteers.
Mobility equipment for hire
Good quality mobility equipment is available for hire Monday to Friday from Community Care premises at 16 Lyttelton St, in Lincoln
- Wheelchairs, crutches, shower stools, commodes, walking sticks, raised toilet seats, walking frames, reacher/pick up tools.
- Modest rates
- Short and Long-term hire is available e.g. immediately after discharge from hospital until professional services commence; holiday visitors to Selwyn
- Equipment is professionally serviced
Health Related Seminars
Seminars are held bi-monthly at our premises in Lincoln
- Held at Community Care Lincoln, 16 Lyttelton Street, Lincoln
- Information delivered by professionals on health related topics
- Mainly during specific ‘focus’ weeks, e.g. alzheimers, diabetes, stroke etc.
- Advertised in local papers and newsletters, also on our Facebook and web pages.

Appointment drivers
If you need help getting to a doctor’s or hospital appointment call Community Care Lincoln on 325 2007.
We have volunteer drivers who can collect you at your home and take you to your appointment, returning you back home afterwards.
Nurse Maude continence supplies
- Clients order their own supplies from NM supply shop in Christchurch
- Delivered to Nurse Maude at Lincoln every Thursday
- Pick up from Community Care Lincoln reception from Thursday onwards
